Facilities Fitness
Center:
The Pike County YMCA offers the most complete
state-of-the-art fitness center in the area. The center
is equipped with one of the countries leading names in
cardio equipment that includes treadmills, elliptical
trainers, stair climbers, and recumbent and up-right
stationary bikes. The center also houses a complete
circuit of one of the primary names of selectorized
weight lifting equipment on the market today. The center
also houses a complete line of Olympic free weight
equipment that includes over a ton of plates, solid
dumbbells ranging from 5 lbs. to 100 lbs, cable cross
over machine, smith machine, bench press,
incline/decline press, squat rack, leg press, plus much,

Aerobics / Dance Studio:
Our over 1200 sq. ft. studio with a free floating
parquet hardwood floor is the premiere environment to
participate in one of our many fitness classes or dance
classes we have to offer. The rooms full-length mirrored
wall allows for anyone whether they are novice, advanced
or somewhere in between to participate and not feel
uncomfortable or out of place. The room is equipped with
it's own sound system with cordless microphones which
allows for the best acoustics you could ask for while
teaching or taking a class. The windows allow for the
participates to enjoy the great outdoors while working
out in our air conditioned room.

Indoor Pool:
Our pool is a big "Splash" with everyone. The pool is a
6-lane 25 yards long heated pool. The pool is big enough
to allow swimmers to enjoy lap swimming anytime the pool
is open while others can enjoy the pool in a more
leisure setting or a more structured format like one of
the many classes that are taught. Some of the programs
that you will find being offered in the pool include
progressive swim classes for youth, adult swim classes,
aquatic exercise classes, scuba classes, life guarding
classes, as well as arthritic classes. The pool is
designed with zero depth entry so it can be enjoyed by
anyone who wishes too. The pool is also set-up for
competitions and becomes home for the YMCA youth summer
swim team. The YMCA has times set aside for youth,
families, and groups to use the pool such as Birthday
parties, church groups, or youth groups. Adjacent to the
pool is an outdoor patio to be used by sunbathers or
those individuals who want to have a picnic.

Gymnasium:
Over 6300 sq. ft. of gym space makes it a perfect fit
for what ever sport you wish to play. Our gym has been
designed for multiple uses such as basketball,
volleyball, and even indoor soccer. Our gym is equipped
with bleachers, which can accommodate approximately 200
spectators. Times are set aside for recreational uses as
well as structured league and programs. Gymnasium is
complete with a sound system, which allows for other
options such as seminars, training, and special events
and fundraisers such as the YMCA's annual indoor circus,
annual Saint Patrick's Day basketball tournament for
boys and girls, and our youth and teenage indoor soccer
tournaments.

Racquetball:
The YMCA has one regulation racquetball/handball court.
Reservations are taken the day of play only and can be
reserved by members and their guest only. Throughout the
year the YMCA will set-up Racquetball challenge ladders
so that players can judge their skill level as well as
meet new players to the sport. The court also serves as
a wally ball court and times are set aside for
recreational and league play.

Meeting and Conference
Rooms with kitchen accommodations:
The YMCA has over 800 sq. ft. of space available for
your next seminar or training. Rooms can also be used to
host your next birthday party, baby shower, family or
class reunion. Discounted rates are available to
not-for-profit groups for meeting use. The rooms are
easily accessible from the main lobby of the YMCA with
ample parking to accommodate everyone in attendance.

Child Care Facilities:
Our childcare program is licensed by the state of Ohio
Department of Job and Family Services. With over 2600
sq. ft. of childcare space, our classrooms have been
designed so that they can accommodate preschoolers
through grade school. Our classrooms are equipped with
restrooms exclusive for childcare use only for the
convenience and safety of the students. Classrooms are
designed to promote a positive learning environment, a
nurturing environment, as well as a fun and creative
surroundings. Our center exceeds adequate space, safety
codes, and teacher's qualifications required by the
state.

Nursery:
For the convenience of or members and guest the YMCA
provides child watch services to those who have little
ones that are too young to be unattended while at the
YMCA. Whether it is a quick 20 minutes on a treadmill or
a couple hours of basketball our staff will be happy to
watch over your little ones while you enjoy your
workout. This service is free to our members.

Kidz Fitness Center/ Game Room:
If it is just to relax and have something cold to drink
while you watch the football or basketball game on TV or
to hang out with your friends and play a game of
checkers or cards. The game room is the spot. Kids need
a space to kickback and we have provided that area which
is conveniently located by our courtesy counter to allow
for supervision.

Locker Rooms:
The YMCA has both male and female locker rooms for your
convenience. Locker rooms are both equipped with large
and small day lockers. Participants are required to
bring own lock to secure belongings. The YMCA does not
provide locks. Each locker room is equipped with
individual shower stalls for your privacy. Participants
are required to bring their own towels and hygiene
supplies. The YMCA does not provide towels or rent them.

Family Locker Rooms:
For the mom or dad that has the task of getting more
than one child dressed or sibling of the opposite gender
ready for a program. The YMCA had you in mind during the
design stages of the facility. The Family Locker has all
the functions of our locker room except that one family
uses it at a time.

Outdoor Playground Area:
What's Big, Colorful and full of Fun? You guessed it,
it's the YMCA Playground area. With over 17,000 sq. ft.
of fenced playground area it is definitely a hit with
our kids as well as our parents. Kids have the
opportunity to swing, slide, climb, teeter totter or even
play in our above ground-shaped sandbox. The YMCA
"Adventure Land" is a favorite when it comes to fun
filled action. The adventure land is used by our
childcare programs and can be rented out for birthday
parties or private gatherings. Swings are provided for
parents to sit and enjoy the day while their little ones
play the day away.

Outdoor Recreational
Complex:
The YMCA made available as many wonderful outdoor
facilities as it has indoor facilities. Included in the
outdoor complex are two regulation tennis courts, one
basketball court, sunbathing and picnicking patio, half
mile walking trial, and multi-use sports fields that
accommodate soccer for all ages and flag football. Not
to mention plenty of room to run and have fun.
